About the frame development process
Nick began experimenting with different materials a long time ago. His curiosity for unique creations and his love for a sustainable environment led him to the development of the concrete frame and the use of reclaimed wood in picture frame creation. For the concrete frame, the process begins with the mold creation where we subsequently pour the reinforced concrete into it. For the hardwood frames after the wood has been removed from the pallets and cleaned up of any nails, it is passed through a planer and a router. Subsequently, it is cut to standard picture frame lengths, the miter joints are glued and a spline is inserted for extra strength. At the end of the process, both the concrete and hardwood frames are sealed.
